Obsessions

I have a new obsession. It is my Legally Blonde The Musical soundtrack. I can't get 'So Much Better' out of my head, but I don't mind as it's a great song. Twas amazing. And yes, like Priscilla, I DO want to go and see it again. The only bad point about the whole thing was that there weren't many (like, two) gorgeous actors/dancers/singers in it. One of the best things about it was that the girl who played Elle (Sheridan Smith) wasn't exactly size 0, which I thought was really good as, like her, neither am I. She was curvy and completely enjoying herself. I wish I could be like that! But it was amazing and I'd definitely rush to see it again... And if it was a choice between Legally Blonde and Priscilla... Well, I'll let you choose which one I'd pick by yourself... :D xx

I love London's West End

I went to see Legally Blonde The Musical today. Twas amazing.

I have now seen musicals in the West End with (in no particular order):

-Singing and dancing nuns (Sister Act, The Sound Of Music)
-Singing and dancing French revolutionaries (Les Miserables)
-Singing and dancing French opera people (Phantom of The Opera)
-Singing and dancing African animals (Lion King)
-Singing and dancing futuristic rockers (We Will Rock You)
-Singing and dancing people with big hair (Hairspray)
-Singing and dancing cars (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Grease)
-Singing and dancing wedding guests (Mamma Mia, also seen on Broadway)
-Singing and dancing pickpockets (Oliver)
-Singing and dancing nannies (Mary Poppins)
-Singing and dancing lawyers (Legally Blonde)
-and even Singing and dancing transvestites (Priscilla Queen of the Desert)

And my top five favourites were:

1. Priscilla & Legally Blonde (yes, it WAs as good as Priscilla. Even without Oliver Thornton!)
3. Hairspray
4. Mamma Mia
5. Sister Act

And now I need to see musicals with:

-Singing and dancing witches (Wicked)
-Singing and dancing flappers (Chicago)
-Singing and dancing boys (Billy Elliot)
-more Singing and dancing French opera people (Love Never Dies)
-and Singing and dancing munchkins (The Wizard of Oz, when it comes out)

Therefore I love the theatre. I am thinking of pursuing a career in acting, but when I told my mum this she thought I was joking. When I assured her I was serious, she shouted at me that it is not a 'proper job' and I can always join Amateur Dramatics societies when I'm older and that it is 'a phase I am going through'. But I can't think of anything I'd enjoy more than singing and dancing on stage in a big, glittery musical for my career. Harumph.

Oh, and I have decided that whatever I decide to do for Uni I am going to live in London. I just love it. Whenever I go there I always feel like my it's already my home. i love it so much. If I could I'd move there now. I already feel homesick being back in Herefordshire. :(

Smothered in Revision

It's Bank Holiday Monday (yay!!) which unfortunately means I am bogged down with Latin, Maths, Chemistry, RS, Art, History, Physics, French, Biology and TWO PIECES of English Coursework. I might just suffocate. I always hate the end of the first half term in Spring because of EXAMS. AAAAAARGH!!! But this year is horrible, I've got three science modules AND two linear Maths GCSEs and plus all the other end-of-year internals. I live in Revision Ghetto in the suburbs of Good Grades City. I cannot cope. And if I'm so stressed out THIS year, what'll next year be like, with English Lit, English Lang, French, History, Latin, Art, Biology, Chemistry, Physics AND a horrible Additional Maths paper. I might DIE. Actually that would be a good idea, all tragic and literary... Actually no. Not until I've met the love of my life and had a nice time and visited lots more places and gone to Prom. And hopefully got married. And get an AMAZING job in the West End as a costume/set designer or possible actress in a musical, where I will get to wear sparkly costumes and prance about on stange generally enjoying myself. Or an interesting yet boring and not as fun job such as a lawyer or a solicitor or obstetrician, where I will get to wear designer suits and Prada heels if I get lots of money.
On the other hand, walking back from our CCF practice today (we have inspection next week and I'm right hand marker for the Navy, so the Navy follow my marching, and as everybody else follows the Navy marching effectively they're all following me, except sometimes I get confused and fall over) a rather fit boy on his bike asked me very politely if I had the time, to which I dithered and "um"ed and "ah"ed and got my phone out (shocking pink with a diamante charm... oh, the embarrassment!!) to check the time and told him that it was, in fact, five to five. He gave me a nice smile and I learnt that his name was Ben before he cycled off towards Asda. So my gloriously un-flattering CCF kit isn't that un-flattering after all. It just consists of a MAN's shirt, a MAN's trousers, a MAN's jumper, a MAN's tie, a BERET, and a granny hairnet. Such a turn on. I DON'T think. :D
So I really need to get back to my (oh, joy) Chemistry Revision. i hear it calling in that evil, alluring voice.....
